Meet Monaghan Singles Over 60

Rossmore Forest Park, about 3.5 kilometres southwest of Monaghan town, is free to visit, with signposted walks from about 1 to 8 kilometres. The Priestfield Walk, around 3 kilometres, passes a colonnade of yews, and some paths suit wheelchair users.
In Castleblayney, the Lough Muckno walk loops for about 3.6 kilometres through the woods of Black Island, with views across the lake. Monaghan County Museum reopened in a new building on the Peace Campus in 2024, and admission is free.
