Meet Corkonians Over 60
Cork people will tell you, quite seriously, that they live in the real capital, and they are rarely short of an opinion on anything else either. That makes a first date easy enough. You will never be stuck for conversation, though you may be asked which side of the river you grew up on before your coat is off.
Fitzgerald's Park on the Mardyke is free to visit, with a fountain, a waterlily pond and paths on the banks of the River Lee. Daly's Bridge, the one locals call the Shakey Bridge, crosses into the formal gardens, and Cork Public Museum sits in the park if a shower comes over.
Crawford Art Gallery, beside the Opera House in the city centre, has free admission and a Harry Clarke stained glass room that gives you something to talk about straight away. Further out, Kennedy Park in Cobh is a promenade at the water's edge with views over Cork Harbour, and St Colman's Cathedral looks down on it from the hill.
Looking around is free. Once you are ready to say hello, a premium membership lets you send messages. Join free today, or see singles over 60 across Ireland.
